Versus buying groceries at your local market and cooking meals while staying in your hotel or rentals home. This will leave you with more money left over after your trip! I would recommend combining both experiences so that you can get an authentic taste without spending too much money.
Transportation
On average it is 94 dollars per day on taxis, buses or subways. Rental cars can be around 80 to 100 per day on the affordable side, for a more luxurious car rental the price is about 100 to 180. For a week long trip transportation can cost up to 700 dollars, not including any tips to taxi drivers.

To enter Maui, Hawaii you must be fully vaccinated and are not required to show a negative covid test before entry if you are traveling from another US state. Travelers from outside of the US must show a negative covid test. As well as be fully vaccinated no more than 72 hours before trip.
