I will be going over hotel discounts, budgeting tips to save for the trip and luggage packing essentials. The best time of year to visit is December to March, but if you are looking to beat the crowd then I would recommend visiting in April to June, or September to December.

To budget for a trip to Maui, Hawaii it’s best to eat plenty of fresh seafood. Instead of buying imported food from grocery stores to cook in your rental home. You can save money on accommodations by booking through Vrbo instead of hotels or resorts that can get expensive very quickly. Lastly to get around use the public transportation to save money.

Accommodation

One of the best parts of Maui, Hawaii is the view from your hotel room. Imagine waking up in your beachfront hotel to the waves crashing on the rocks while your wrapped in a white cozy robe. On average a hotel room for two people in Maui will be around 440 per night. Activities

One of the most amazing parts about traveling to Maui, Hawaii is how affordable it can be. If you’re thinking about eating out for a whole day on average it could cost about 140 dollars. Versus buying groceries at your local market and cooking meals while staying in your hotel or rentals home. This will leave you with more money left over after your trip! I would recommend combining both experiences so that you can get an authentic taste without spending too much money.

Transportation

On average it is 94 dollars per day on taxis, buses or subways. Rental cars can be around 80 to 100 per day on the affordable side, for a more luxurious car rental the price is about 100 to 180. For a week long trip transportation can cost up to 700 dollars, not including any tips to taxi drivers.

Conclusion

To enter Maui, Hawaii you must be fully vaccinated and are not required to show a negative covid test before entry if you are traveling from another US state. Travelers from outside of the US must show a negative covid test. As well as be fully vaccinated no more than 72 hours before trip.
